You can’t see what’s in your air. That’s the problem.
Mold spores, allergens, volatile organic compounds they don’t announce themselves. They just sit there, circulating through your home while you wonder why the cough won’t go away or why your kid’s asthma keeps flaring up. Indoor air quality testing gives you answers instead of assumptions.
We come in, collect samples from the air and surfaces in your home, and send them to a certified lab. You get a report that tells you what’s actually present, at what levels, and whether it’s something you need to address. No more wondering if that musty smell is harmless or if the basement is growing something you can’t see.
Once you know what’s there, you can make real decisions. Maybe it’s a ventilation issue. Maybe it’s mold that needs remediation. Maybe it’s something simpler. But at least you’ll know and that’s worth more than any air freshener or guesswork ever gave you.
Mack’s Mold Removal focuses on one thing: creating healthy homes in Bucks County. We’re not a restoration company that does mold on the side. We’re mold and air quality specialists who show up when you need clarity about what’s happening inside your walls and your air.
Bella Vista homes deal with humidity, older construction, and the kind of weather that creates perfect conditions for mold growth. We’ve tested enough homes here to know what to look for and where problems usually hide. Our technicians are certified, our methods follow EPA guidelines, and our lab results come from accredited facilities.
We don’t upsell services you don’t need. If your air tests clean, we’ll tell you. If there’s a problem, we’ll explain it clearly and help you understand your options. That’s it.
First, we walk through your home with you. You tell us about symptoms, concerns, or areas that worry you. We look at ventilation, moisture sources, and any visible signs of mold or water damage.
Then we collect samples. Air samples capture what’s floating around in your home right now. Surface samples test specific areas where you’ve seen discoloration or suspect growth. We use calibrated equipment that meets industry standards, and we document everything so you know exactly what we tested and why.
Samples go to a certified lab. They identify the types and concentrations of mold spores, allergens, and other contaminants. This usually takes a few days. When results come back, we sit down with you and go through them in plain language what’s normal, what’s elevated, and what needs attention.
If there’s a problem, we explain your options. Sometimes it’s a simple fix like improving ventilation or addressing a leak. Other times it requires mold remediation. Either way, you’ll understand what you’re dealing with and what it takes to fix it.

Our indoor air quality check includes a visual inspection, air sampling, surface sampling if needed, and lab analysis from a certified facility. You receive a detailed report that breaks down what was found, at what levels, and how that compares to normal indoor and outdoor standards.
In Bella Vista and throughout Bucks County, we see elevated mold levels most often in basements, bathrooms, and older homes with poor ventilation. Pennsylvania doesn’t regulate indoor mold, which means it’s up to you to stay proactive. Testing gives you the data to act before a small issue becomes a costly remediation project.
We also test for other pollutants if you request it things like radon, VOCs, or particulate matter. The EPA estimates that indoor air can be up to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air, and radon alone is responsible for about 21,000 lung cancer deaths annually in the U.S. If your home was built before certain building codes were updated, testing isn’t just smart it’s necessary.
After testing, if remediation is needed, we handle that too. You’re not passed off to another company. We take care of it using EPA-approved methods, and we retest afterward to confirm the problem is actually solved.
If anyone in your home has unexplained respiratory symptoms, allergies that won’t quit, or frequent headaches, that’s a sign. Same goes for visible mold, water damage, musty odors, or if you’re buying or selling a property and want to know what you’re dealing with.
You don’t need to see mold to have a mold problem. It grows in places you can’t access inside walls, under flooring, in HVAC systems. Testing is the only way to know for sure what’s in your air and whether it’s at levels that could affect your health.
Even if everything seems fine, testing makes sense if your home is older, you’ve had past water issues, or you live in a humid area like Bella Vista. Catching problems early saves money and protects your family from long-term exposure to allergens and toxins that build up over time.
We measure mold spores by type and concentration, comparing indoor levels to outdoor baseline levels. If your indoor counts are significantly higher, that tells us there’s likely an indoor source that needs attention. Different mold types have different health risks, so identification matters.
We can also test for allergens, VOCs (volatile organic compounds from paints, cleaners, building materials), particulate matter, and radon if requested. Each test targets specific contaminants based on what you’re concerned about or what we observe during the inspection.
Lab results show exactly what’s present and at what levels. We compare those numbers to EPA guidelines and industry standards so you understand whether what we found is normal, elevated, or dangerous. You’re not left trying to interpret charts and numbers on your own we explain what it all means in practical terms you can actually use.
The on-site portion usually takes one to two hours depending on the size of your home and how many areas we’re testing. We’re not rushing through it. We take time to inspect, collect samples properly, and answer your questions while we’re there.
After we collect samples, the lab analysis takes three to five business days. Once results are in, we schedule a follow-up to review findings with you. That conversation can happen over the phone or in person, depending on what you prefer and how complex the results are.
If you need faster results for a real estate transaction or another time-sensitive situation, let us know upfront. We can sometimes expedite lab processing for an additional fee. But in most cases, waiting a few days for accurate results is better than rushing and missing something important.
No. Air sampling is completely non-invasive we use a pump to pull air through a collection device, and that’s it. Surface sampling involves gently swabbing or tape-lifting a small area to collect spores. Nothing gets damaged, and there’s no mess to clean up afterward.
If we need to inspect areas like behind walls or under flooring, we’ll discuss that with you first and explain why it’s necessary. Most of the time, testing doesn’t require any demolition or intrusive work. We’re gathering information, not tearing things apart.
You can stay in your home during and after testing. There are no fumes, no chemicals, and no disruption to your daily routine. We show up, do the work, and leave things exactly as we found them.
We explain what was found, where it’s likely coming from, and what your options are. If it’s a minor issue, we might recommend better ventilation, a dehumidifier, or fixing a leak. If it’s more serious, we’ll talk through mold remediation what that involves, how long it takes, and what it costs.
You’re never pressured into services you don’t need. If the contamination is low and manageable with simple changes, we’ll tell you that. If it requires professional remediation, we’ll walk you through the process step by step so you know what to expect.
After remediation, we retest to confirm the problem is gone. That’s included in our service. You’re not left wondering if the work actually fixed anything you get verification that your air quality is back to safe levels before we consider the job done.
Cost depends on the size of your home, how many samples you need, and what you’re testing for. A basic mold inspection with air and surface sampling typically ranges from a few hundred dollars to around $600 or $700 for larger homes or more comprehensive testing.
We offer free initial inspections, so you’re not paying just to have someone come out and assess the situation. During that visit, we’ll give you a clear quote based on what your home actually needs not a one-size-fits-all price that doesn’t account for your specific situation.
If remediation is needed after testing, we’ll provide a separate estimate for that work. Many homeowners insurance policies cover mold remediation if it’s related to a covered event like a burst pipe. We can work with your insurance company to help with the claims process and make sure you’re getting the coverage you’re entitled to.
